  1. You don't need a passport, you just need your ID card for ANY European Union country.

    The confusion some brits might make derives from the fact that there are no ID cards in England like there are in Portugal...

  3. Yes you can travel on your I.D. card it's better if it's a digital one though, the older ones sometimes can't be read at U.K. passport control.
