  1. Hi.  I agree with a few of the others.  Don't do polka dots.  They are not attractive, really, unless it's a flower girls dress.  And, I think it would be a little "busy" for the photos.

I do LOVE the color yellow, though, so I would just stick with a yellow.  If you want to add in polka dots, you could do this for the invites, cake, program, favors, etc.

  2. You can ask them to wear a solid color dress (yellow or white or black) and find matching polka dot scarfs for them to tie around their waists.

  3. If you're set on yellow polka dots:

Otherwise you could just do yellow dresses, maybe even add a polka dotted sash.

  4. There are many beautiful yellow bridesmaid's dresses that would go lovely with your theme. But to find a Yellow Polka Dot dress will be quite difficult. Try these if you are set on yellow:

Just to give you an idea.

  5. I would stick with just yellow dresses. I have to be honest, no girl wants to wear yellow polka dots. But I love the idea on how the theme can be added to decor!

  6. Would gold work for you?  I was able to find these... and the others above have some lovely dresses too.

As the others have mentioned - it would be easier to get a ribbon in polka dots to wrap around a yellow dress - but if you can find a polka dot dress that the girls like then go for it!

  7. Do not do that to your bridesmaids !! Please!!

  8. You definitely don't want a dress covered in dots! Try just a sash with dots added to a solid color dress. Much classier. : )

  9. If you;re having a spring/summer wedding with bright colors, this could be a really cute idea. Seriously. I'm picturing it in my head, the girls in yellow dresses with subtle white polka dots holding bright pink bouquets with really classy pointy-toed white pumps and red lipstick. So cute, and very retro and fun. Especially if it's outside in a garden or something.

However, if you're having a really fancy affair in an elegant ballroom, this may not work and you plan on wearing a very elaborate dress and your groom is in a tux, etc., then I would rethink it just because the polka dot dresses would then not match the feel of the event.

I really like the dress that one of the previous answerers posted. Very cute. However, you're not going to find a dress like that in any bridal store. You're going to have to scour the department stores and prom dress sections to find something to your liking. I like these as well:

But I think if you have the determination to make it work, I would go for it (if the classy but casual wedding is what you're going for). I know, for one, that if I were a bridesmaid, that's a dress I could and WOULD wear again. I actually have one like that in green that I wear all the time. You can dress it up and down.

People's immediate reactions are going to be "Ugh! That's tacky!" But it really doesn't have to be. Just make sure you have an appropiate venue and everything goes with it.

    Good luck!

  10. Keep it simple - let your bridesmaids wear a plain yellow dress and add a sash or ribbon with polka dots. Your bridesmaids are grown women, not little girls, and you should keep that in mind when you choose their outfits.
