i am pregnant and travelling to uk on visitor's visa. How can i get a medical certificate from a doctor in uk to travel back from London to Dubai. The airlines requires a Medical fitness certificate issued by a Doctor not before 7 days of travel.

  1. Im sure if you pay for one, most gps will do it, you can get yourself a temporary GP (general practitioner) once you are in the uk, you will have to pay for all care though.

  3. Regarding the previous post: NHS walk in centres cannot offer certificates or letters of any kind.

    A lot of health practitioners would be reluctant to give you a certificate anyway, as they don't know you, or have access to your records etc.

    You would have to see a private obstetrician or midwife and see if they are willing BUT if you look at the small print on the airlines regulations you will see they will ask for a certificate from your OWN practitioner.

    I strongly advise you to get travel insurance in case you need care during your stay. You are not entitled to NHS treatment and will be expected to pay
