Question:

I am rather upset, who can help?

This evening, I was taken to an evening of 'Bingo', by a person whom I assumed to be a friend.

Whilst the novelty of dabbing ink onto randomly assigned numbers was indeed most gratifying, I was rather distressed by the appalling demographic to which I was exposed.

There seemed to be a disproportionate number of overweight working class people. You know the type, bad clothes and a 'I know what I like, and I like what I bloody well know' sort of attitude. It really was the most appalling experience to watch these sallow, common guttersnipes indulge in their squalid leisure pursuits. One chap was even wearing a tracksuit (the irony, if one observed his flabby body lumber about, is of course glaringly obvious).

I'm wondering, has anyone else had the misfortune to be inadvertently involved in this horrendous stew?

  11. I was recently in a similarly despicable situation..a good friend of mine had taken me to Bath, the nearest city to my village.

Here we'd had high tea in a local tearooms of supposedly high repute..a questionable reputation in my eyes, since the girl who served us had a face full of metal! There were rings in her ears and nose, even one through her lower lip!

I found this completely disgusting and out of place..I must mention the most disturbing thought that entered my mind..how does one blow ones nose with all that metal in the way? What horrible phlegm, aged and dried, could actually hang onto those rings..and then possible fall off into ones tea??

I could barely finish my scone..I think the next time I will choose our venue, and I recommend you to do the same!
