  1. I'm a backstroker, so I can help there. I suck at fly though..

For backstroke, keep you head back and still. Make sure your arms are bent underwater, as they will get more power that way. Rotate your shoulders, because not rotating them reduces how much water you can push. And, if you have trouble with staying in a straight line, I know this may sound a bit weird, but squeeze your butt cheeks together, and it will make your kick more even and help you go in a straight line. It works! Also, keep your hips right up.

Hope you go faster! = ]

  2. ok its exactly like free except on your back lol.  lets start with the start if ur racing.  put ur feet on the wall towards the top. you can have them at different places on the wall or both on top or one on the edge and one lower on the wall (thats my position) then you pull foward with ur hands and scrunch up. then wen the gun shoots, you throw your self back at a angle, keep ur arms &legs together then streamline under then pull out with one arm and begin the stroke while kicking. you should be going back and forth on your shoulders like you are rocking from side to side. just kick and pull. then for the flip turn, count your strokes from the flags to the wall and then one or two before flipp on ur stomach do ONE pull of free( or else u will get disqulified) and do a reg turn and start again on your back

if you still have trouble  gooogle it or as ur coach

  3. Ok. I Am A Girl And Your Age So I Can Help. For Back, I Am Also Really Bad At It.  This Is What They Told Me At Swim Camp. Keep You Arm Speed Up, Kick As Hard As You Can, And Keep Your Head DOWN! Relax Your Head So You Aren't Using Energy To Keep It Up. And So You Wont have Resistance.

Fly Is My Best Stroke So... Keep Your Arms As Close To The Water As Possible. So They Are Almsot Skimming The Water. Breathe When You Arms - Underwater - Are At Your Belly Button. When You Breathe Keep Your Chin As Close To The Water Also. When You Kick, Kick With Your Hips, Let The mOvement Flow From Your Hips Down To Your Toes.

For Back And Fly Have A Breathing Pattern, For Back Count 1-2 Breathe And Fly Dont Breathe For 2 Strokes Then Breathe.

Streamline And Flip Turns Also Make You Go Faster. So Work On Those!!

  4. Go to this website: www.goswim.tv, it shows drills and practices you can do for the backstroke.
