  1. Anjuman W has some great suggestions.  Think of what a great adventure this will be.  You'll have experiences most of your peers will never have.  Learn as much as you can and try to adapt to their customs.  You'll make new friends.

It's normal to be homesick.  Keep in touch with your friends in Ohio via the internet.  Get a webcam so you all can see each other.  Make some videos of your new surroundings to share with your friends in the states.  This is a great opportunity.  Try and have a positive outlook an keep busy.  That will help you not be so homesick.

  2. Sorry about your situation.

There's no substitute for the real thing, but keeping up with some of your old routines may help, so should staying in touch with Ohio through friends, the Internet, and etc.  For example, see if you can watch some of the same TV shows, listen to the same music, etc., online or on DVDs.  Do you have access to some of the food you used to eat when you lived in Ohio?  Are there Americans at your new school or in your neighborhood?  If so, perhaps you can play football with them.  You can also follow your favorite NFL or college football teams online.

  3. Not much to tell ya. Find something that you like to do where you are. At least you have hope that you'll be coming back. Make sure to keep in touch with your friends over here, that should help.

  4. How exciting. You have different people to meet, new places to see, new cultures to learn about, new tastes to explore, new games to play, exciting tales to tell of a far away country to your new friends. Do not dwell on the past or else you would miss the opportunities of the present. Make the best of your new adventure.
