Today is my birthday and none of my family can make it to dinner tonight. They all have plans, my mom, my sister, my mother in law, everybody.. So luckly my husband and kids are going. I have never missed a birthday for dinner for any of these people. I not being selfish its just i always bend over backwords for these people's birthday. I feel really blu

I understand how you feel. Mine is next Tuesday (my 30th!) and  i also  wont see anyone other then my husband and daughter. My family and I are having a party in a couple of  weeks though. Maybe you can do something on another date as well.

I'm sorry! I know how you feel!!!

My new husband (we got married on May 10th) had to work nights on my birthday in July.  I went out to dinner with friends since we live across the country from all of our family. We were supposed to go out after dinner but my friends bailed on me.  I was really sad but then I realized that part of growing up is getting over silly things.

I'm sorry to hear that...maybe everyone really is busy.... why dont u try putting together a birthday dinner maybe on friday or saturday.  My mother in laws birthday was last tuesday and me and my hubby live 30 minutes away so we waited til the weekend and took her to dinner on friday after he got off work and she seemed very appreciative.

I'm sorry! Happy Birthday! They are being inconsiderate of you. You said you bend over backwards for these people, and they should certainly do it ONE night out of the year. I always feel that I need to be with someone on their birthday, because no matter how old you are, you want to feel like people care.
