  1. According to VA, you will have to pay that money back.  The school submits all your grades to VA.  Repayment can go one or two ways...

    1. You repay the funds out of pocket to VA in full, VA will send you a balance.

    2. Or you continue with school next semester, process your GI Bill forms as usual..VA will  clear your debt with your monthly payments. you will not recived funds until your debt is clear. Which will still result in you coming out of pocket for your school expenses in the beginning.

    Example:

Lets say you owe VA $2,000...you are in school full-time, so you are entitled to get the full amount of $1321.00 monthly..You will not receive a first months payment..it is owed to VA. and your second payment will be $692.00 with the remaining balance deducted, thus clearing your debt with VA.  Your remaining payments will then resume to their regular payment rates.
