I am redoing my bedroom and I need suggestions.

I have ideas, since I know I want to do a victorian/edwardian type of room but I like hearing opinions on what I should do. :D

(I'd rather have a dusty lavender/rose/violet color then the traditional burgundy color, because it seems it would make the room look smaller. Plus, my furniture is white. I'm not sure that would work though.. Dx)

  1. Well, I did a quick-and-dirty google search of "victorian bedroom" and it came up with a pretty diverse range of stylistic choices. But based on the color tones you mentioned, and my own aesthetic opinion of course, I would do burgundy walls with ivory furniture. Your white furniture would work well, also. I wouldn't worry about the room looking smaller. The arrangement of furniture pieces and lack-of-clutter really have more of an impact that wall color. If you're still wary of painting in such a dark color, a neutral shade of dusty rose would look fantastic with your white furniture, as seen in this picture:
