I am redoing my room and....

Question

my theme is peace signs. i am 13, so i want it to be very modern. i can't decide on the colors, so i will need some help on deciding that. also, i need to find a comfortor from some where. so. colors? comfortor? help please!

if you really have the time. what i had in mind was make stripes with blue painters tape. thinking of peace i thought of a rainbow so you can paint stripes of rainbows if you are really dedicated

i saw some very cool comforters in target and ikea!

maybe get wallpaper in the colors you want.

maybe have some of your stuff in your room that are black and white. paint your walls with peace signs. then add a bright color for some little stuff, like:

if most of your that you buy/have are black and white then have some bright red pillows, chair, rug, etc. if you dont like the color red then go for a more peaceful color like blue.

A really important thing to remember is not to overdo the theme.

When you said peace sign - this is what I thought of -- (keep in mind I lived the 60's):

Pale turquoise-ie blue wall with a *slightly* darker peace sign painted on the wall.

Dark blue bedding with rich creamy coloured sheets.

From there - take it over.  You can go crazy with it.  Just remember not to over do the theme.

Google "hippie" and you will see the colours and the influence.
