I am related to marshall tallard who was in the spanish succesion and he is french(read below)?

there is a town called tallard in france. supposiveley named after marshal tallard who is an ancestor of mine. does my family partially own the city,am i considered royalty if i go there

    You may want to review this article, and how you interpret it. He was involved in a War, called the War of Spanish Succession. That is completely different from being "in" the Spanish succession.

    I would also carefully investigate.. was the town named for him, or could his family have taken their name FROM the town? It is one common way that people came by surnames.  Either way.. having a town of the same name does not indicate that his family owned it, and certainly, it would not make you royalty by going there.
