The fences are not very tall, and there are not many trees.

  1. you could put up dividers, go to hardware store and see what options they have, you could put up trellises, plants/trees in tubs, you can get easy to install bamboo/wood 'walls' that just roll out, you could lean them up against the existing small fence.

  2. Before you do anything get permission from the owner to do what is required to get your privacy.

Your options are build a higher fence or put in a hedge, something like 'Laurel Leaf Willow". It grows quick, bushes out well, but will require pruning to keep it looking nice and not too tall.

  3. Put a bigger fence in.

Ask your landlord to deal with it.

  4. A good idea these days is to go to your local Warehouse store and purchase either Brushwood or bamboo panels.these come in 5 metre lengths( about 15 feet). Not too expensive. Then you can put either cemented-in posts or temporary posts and secure panels to them. The other way I put up a temporary fence, was to cement posts into the ground at 6' intervals.Put rails in top and bottom. Then use wire netting.I did this'cos I have dogs.
