I am renting a room on a month 2 month lease I am being evicted I paid rent for the month is a 3day legal?

every1 here is loud but I am being evicted for being to loud yet we have to deal with loud music alarms going off all night and being cursed out by other tenants that are not being evicted. really unfair and im willing to move but she's rushing us with a 3day notice is this legal shouldnt i get a 30day notice or atleast be able to stay til the end of the month which i have paid thru

  1. You get 30 days, but you must pay for them.

    All "Three Day Notices" are used to say "do this thing (pay rent, get rid of pet, stop making noise) by three days or we will issue your 30 day notice."

    But if it is possible I would find a new place asap and be out by the end of the month. Send her a written notice of your intentions and keep a copy.


  2. If you signed some sort of lease agreement, they have to go through the court system to have you evicted. They can't just tell you to go in 3 days unless the court order says so.

    I hope you signed a lease!

  3. you should check your lease. But your landlord has the right to serve you with a 3 day notice to vacate or they will file for an eviction. Depending on where you live, she may or may not be able to evict you for noise complaints. I know in Texas it is extremely difficult to evict for anything other than non payment of rent.
