I am renting a single house and while looking in the back yard?

I saw a huge animal, my son said it was a ground hog. after researching internet pics, I found out this is true. I am half frightened. what do I need to know?

Nothing!  They are vegetarians .

Nothing..it's a groundhog.  I have them all over the place..they are not predators.

Lock the door and turn out the lights. My gosh we're talking ground hogs here!  they could up and pack you off and never be seen or heard from again!

Well it depends if they are living there or just passing thru.They will be threatened if you are active in the back yard or a dog they will relocate.The biggest concern would be disease.They can be pesky and they chat alot.

Just leave it alone.  Ground hogs are generally benign and - as another user stated - vegetarian.  But if it should feel threatened, just like any animal, it could become aggressive.
