  1. take a long stick and lay it on top of the water heater and then measure from the floor to the bottom of the stick and that should give you the measurement of the tallest piont of the hot water heater

  2. You have to be a licenced plumber to install a water heater. If it is installed wrong it will blow up through the roof.     just fyi

  3. Don't forget to measure the width of your water heater door.

  4. hot water tanks are measured in gallons.....so when u buy them you will be looking for a 40 or 60 gallon tank....most homes are 40 gallon , they are all about the same height

  5. The right size is the amount of gallons your house may use in a busy hour or two.

    How about 40?

What size (gallons or litres) do you have now?

    Is that sufficient?

    There. Done.
