I am researching a craft history and came across a reference to glass knitting needles and magic spells.

The color of the yarn used reflected the spell; red for love, green for prosperity, black for bad luck etc. Anyone have any pointers or additional information.

thanks

  1. Where did you come across this?  I've never heard of it specifically, but the elements involved, knots, thread, patterns and so on are not at all uncommon.  Do you know what culture (Celtic, Germanic, Greek, etc) it stems from?
