You have to prepare a speech?? All we have to do is run and then people vote, usually based on the most popular or the best poster. Make posters BBIIGG and Flashy!! You want people to notice your poster and memorize YOUR name. Make sure you put yourself on the map or you won't stand a chance!

On a serious note- I would identify at least 4-10 issues that you fell should be addressed, changed or implemented. Think about those issues. Develope your own stance. Then include your issues in your speech by addressing those issues.

Tip - Involve your audience, from time to time, by asking questions to them. (e.g. - How many here feel...) Remember to hold up one of your hands WHILE you ask your question so that your audience will subconciously raise their hand; then you can take count!

Explain to students about the redistribution of wealth you will do.  Tell them how you will be robbing the lunch money from the students who work, and giving it to the students who do not work.  This theory has seemed to work for the Obama crowd.
