  1. Actually, if you are indoors, there is nothing to fear from thunderstorms.  Once in a great while, lightning will strike a house and mess up the electric in the house.  But, usually, there is nothing to fear.  It is just a lot of lightning and loud noise!

I enjoy thunderstorms!  It means I get to be inside and do not have to work!

    Roll on, thunder!

  2. Frightening.  Seldom really a thing to be scared of.  Very little ever happens that is dangerous.

Go to noaa.gov.  You can put in your zip code and get local weather updates and preditions.

  3. Try just going to sleep. You won't even know it's storming...though that wouldn't be a good idea if things got REALLY bad.

Try weather.com or your local news' website online.

  4. There's always www.weather.com! Also, you can go to your local news stations' websites. These could be your local news, Fox, NBC, CBS, ABC, etc.

  5. Run! Run for your life!

  6. It is perfectly natural to be afraid of thunderstorms and tornadoes, they can definitely be very scary. However, once you understand what they really are and how they work, as well as how to protect yourself from them, I guarantee you that you will not be as afraid of them. You will learn what is needed to make a thunderstorm or a tornado form, how they can affect your house and how to protect yourself. The websites below will give you the information you require.

  7. If you have a Yahoo homepage, you can set it up to get the local weather. It even has an extended forecast. I love it and use it every day.

btw, earphones that block sound out will help a lot during thunderstorms!! ; )

  8. It depends where you live.  But this is my favorite weather site.
