  1. Depends for wich company.

Tha one´s i´m familiar with are Hardings and Steiner.

Hardings pays 100 pounds a week for the spa personel, plus comission and individual targets. The ships I worked on, for Hardings (I was on their shop division), the spa people complained a lot about high targets, etc.

After Ive worked for Starboard which has the shops on bigger ships and the spas on those larger ones was Steiners.

They were busier as far as work and aparently made more money as well. At one point I was at a ship that had 3 massage therapists and they were always busy.

They complained about the company a lot, though.

They will not ask you about salary expectations during the process.

Hardings finances your expanses and takes it off your salary, I dont think Steiners do it as well.

Hardings training is in Southampton, which is a lot cheaper than London.

    hope it helped.

What i think is, you make good money with american passengers.

As a massage therapist I remember some people complaining a lot when we had Bristish passengers, saying they were very weary of beeing touched.

But the nationality of the passengers depends a lot.

Hardings has a lot of ships with British passengers.

Steiner´s has the big ones, Carnival, Royal, Celebrity, Costa...
