I am selling a TREK 8500 zr9000 bike?

Question

This is an TREK 8500(zr9000), with Fox F-100 rlc suspension. All bike components are deore lx (shifters, cables, chain, derraileur, crankset, etc), but the brakes. It has the Hayes Nine XC hydraulic brakes. All components are like new, in a very good shape. How much can I ask for a bike like this??? I am just trying to figure out how much have I investerd in all this set.

Used mountain bikes are hard to sell, so be prepared to take a hit.  Keep in mind that buyers have no idea what type of rider you are/were with the bike, so was it crashed?  You can say no, but how can I believe you when all I know about you the seller is your screen name?

If it were my bike and I were selling it, I would probably start an auction at $499, and hope for the best.
