i am selling an old train set from 1955 complete on ebay. screen name: ADAM5359. how much should it bring?

Take the price of the train set when brand new in 1955, then multiply by 20, then add some.

Then say to potential buyers that this is the bottom line.

Describe it accurately in your sales pitch. That you weed out the timewasters.

I had a Lionel train set given to me on my first birthday in 1955. It was lost in a house fire I would give any thing to have it back. DON'T SELL!!!

It depends on what condition, and the name as

well as the gauge (scale HO, O,) that really makes

the difference. I'M with the other guy do not sell it.

Jenny, there are people in train shops who can appraise your train and tell you what it is worth. I suggest that you go see one or two, with the set. It is surprising what some of them are worth. My mom got rid of mine, and it turned out that the loco alone was worth $1800, some years back.
