  1. No, that box was not meant for shipping.

    Measure it and buy one from UPS since that is how it will be handled. UPS, FED-EX and USPS or other shipper have shipping boxes that are specifically for shipping.

    Their bursting weight is the differrence.

    off course, pad it as well.

    Remember, if you ship it as you have it, insurance coverage is limited.


  2. You should pack it in the original box with the foam padding.
