  1. GO TO A DOCTOR.  That is dangerous.

And start taking iron supplements...thats a no brainer.  I recommend Slow FE.

  2. Eat lots of beans and legumes, dark leafy greens and lean meat. Most of these things will bring your iron up. Trust me I know, my blood count got so low the doctor's told me I needed a blood transfusion and of course I said h**l no! so this is what I was told to do instead and it worked.

    Good luck to you!

  3. If you have your iron checked and it´s below normal, you need iron supplements.

More importantly, you need to establish why your iron level is low; there are numerous reasons can cause low iron, so you need an Internist opinion.

  4. Yes it's dangerous, go see your GP (Doctor) also start by taking a supplements from your Chemist. You should also have a red meat, chicken and fish in your diet. they say that the best sources of iron: Lean beef, lamb, organ meats such as liver.

Moderate sources of iron: Pork, chicken, fish

Iron deficiency (or "sideropenia") is the most common known form of nutritional deficiency. In the human body, iron is present in all cells and has several vital functions—as a carrier of oxygen to the tissues from the lungs in the form of hemoglobin, as a transport medium for electrons within the cells in the form of cytochromes, and as an integral part of enzyme reactions in various tissues. Too little iron can interfere with these vital functions and lead to morbidity and mortality.

The direct consequence of iron deficiency is iron deficiency anemia. Groups that are most prone to developing this disease are children and pre-menopausal women.

Total body iron averages approximately 3.8 g in men and 2.3 g in women. There are several mechanisms that control human iron metabolism and safeguard against iron deficiency. The main regulatory mechanism is situated in the gastrointestinal tract. When loss of iron is not sufficiently compensated by adequate intake after some time that is determined by the state of body iron storage, iron deficiency develops.

  5. if you were just getting tired easily I'd suggest iron tablets... but you need a visit to the doctor - pronto.  You may need a transfusion or similar.  Is it possible you may have sickle cell?

  6. Definitely go to a doctor. I have always been told to eat meat, but you best bet is to go to a doctor for a check up. It may not be that you are lacking Iron, you may have something else. Be safe.

  7. You could try eating iron filled things like broccoli steak and ect. :) and yes go see your doctor he will have the best solutions/suggestions. There are many other iron filled foods like strawberries, tomatoes, strawberries, cauliflower, kiwi fruit, cantaloupe, potatoes, cabbage and citrus. Try topping an iron-fortified cereal with strawberries and soymilk. Toss a spinach salad with orange segments and sesame seeds. And try to eat lots of the foods that contain both iron and vitamin like potatoes and brocolli.

Hope i could help you, and i really hope u feel better soon, try resting for a while.
