I am setting up a home wireless network?

I have got the thing running on my main pc, however i am having problems with my laptop. Under network connections it says internet connection connected and under lan or high speed internet it says wireless network connection connected. Yet i cant open a page on the net and it brings up a browser internet problem detected pop up from bt yahoo, I'm now on virgin, although bt is the work connection. Any ideas?

we need more info to help, laptop model, operating system, router name/model, are you with virgin cable or non cable.

essentially you need to change the encryption settings and password on the laptop to match your router

Do you have security enabled on the wireless network? If so, disable it until you're sure you have everything working.

Don't forget to enable it again when you're happy everything other than that's ok, though. Running an unencrypted wireless network for any length of time is very, very silly.
