I am severely terrified of thunderstorms!?

Question

I live in Staten Island, NY, and for some reason we have been getting severe thunderstorms on a weekly basis! We've even had a tornado (funnel cloud, actually), which I witnessed in a car! That one tornado increased my fears more, and now every thunder cloud I see looks like a tornado! With nearly two thirds of thunderstorm season left, I need help! Please answer! Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

yeah i live in brooklyn and i have to admit that the lightning storms we've been having seem pretty intense

u really have nuthing to fear. the odds of being struck by lightning r tiny

Theres nothing more i can tell you then to hide when it gets cloudy and turn up some music or your t.v. when you hear thunder

Don't look at the clouds and keep driving along the road.

Don't be scared of it, its not gonna hurt you in a car.

are you afraid of funnel clouds or thunderstorms? cuz u sed thunderstorms in the first part but the second part u sed ur afraid of funnel clouds
