I would, because you never know what will go wrong.  The possibility of something happening is slim, but on the rare chance that this is just the day that "Murphy's Law" decides to prove itself..you'd want to be prepared.  3% might be semi-substantial, but is far less expensive than replacing your car 100% out of pocket.
