I am shy...want to make a good first impression????

I want to meet new people at camp(highschool age)...but i'm really shy.....do you have any tips for making a good first impression on people so they will want to be my friend and get to know me better?

i'm also in high school-senior year- and i am very shy but what helps me is to join clubs and talk to people i would never have talked to in a long time, so be yourself don't let drama control you and every thing you do. smile and don't look mean all the time show people you want to make friends, and then you'll have more friends then you know...

I was very shy growing up and i missed out on a lot of fun and friends because of it relax and have fun.

Well the answer is not to be shy im 17 and do home school and i have none friends so at this point i whant friends so badly but im to shy so you just need to be less shy or hang out with friends that talks a lot and them you will be notice because you will stand out that is what i did when i was still in school and be for we moved

Be approachable. Be friendly and smile alot. Be yourself. And if you have some humour, don't be afraid to use it. Act like your interested in what they have to say. Show them that you want to be their friend. Also be talkative. But not too talkative. Good Luck!
