I am sick of this, how do I get people to take my questions seriously?

I want to get tons of answers to this question. I put it in many categories, in fact, I was hoping to put it in every single category. Unfortunately my questions kept getting answers like, it's in the wrong category, some dumb answer like peace will never occur, or my question being reported. In fact on most of my questions I have no answers whatsoever.

I was hoping to get the public to answer this question seriously with thousands if not tens of thousands of opinions about the issue from all over the world on this issue but it doesn't seem like the people care at all about this defining issue.

So here is the question and please answer it seriously for once, I need We The People to start a real debate on this issue please:

  1. That's a long post for a question - maybe people don't take your question seriously because it's a little long winded. A answer like, "peace will never occur" is that person's opinion (and true, worldwide peace never WILL occur, as long as there are human's). People probably get on YA! to de-stress and unwind, not to debate issues. Maybe there's another website that would allow you to interact with people with a serious political interest. If you ask a question here, you're bound to get a few "It's unfortunate" for answers. Which, btw, is my opinion.

  2. Palestine belongs to two people, the original Jews, and the Palestinians.  The Jews that came from around the world and continue to come even though they have no claim over anything in Palestine (I won't call it Israel) should go back where they came from.  The Israeli government should stop making every kind of excuse (and sometimes no excuse) to take away land from Palestinians and give it to the Jews who come from around the world.  The Israelis say they want peace; how could they get it when they are constantly, and steadily creeping into Palestinian lands.  I say "creeping" because they are nothing but a bunch of maggots to me.  I better stop now because I am starting to get upset.

  3. I have studied this conflict and the surrounding region academically, historically, and politically.

The Balfour Declaration was the beginning of a huge mistake.  This is not a blanket statement against Israel, but rather one against Britain's handling of the Islamic territory under its control after WW1 split up the falling Ottoman Empire.  The fact is, the Western empires had little understanding of many of the lands which they controlled, which led to the necessary collapse of the British Empire.

This having been glossed over, Israel was under tense conditions at best even at its formation.  The state of Israel has been a half-free paranoid nation out of necessity for survival, yet the same tactics used to survive only help prolong the conflict.  The preemptive attack in 1967 did little for international favor, and had they not waited to be attacked in 1973, Nixon would never have authorized Operation Nickel Grass, which was the supply line Israel desperately needed to survive the war.

To cover this history very briefly and arrive at a modern view, I believe that the attack on Hezbollah in Lebanon is an important event to examine.  Israel attacked a group that had been launching rockets at their citizens from across a border.  Yet, the retaliation sacrificed large numbers of noncombatants as well, and destabilized a nation.  Israel's attack only strengthened Hezbollah's support in Lebanon.

The trouble is that Israel faces Palestinians who have been displaced and humiliated, Islamists who oppose Israel as an occupying power, and political opportunists who lash out against Israel in order to shore up support for their own power.  Each of these issues must be addressed, and with minimal military force.  Using force against one group will only help others strengthen against Israel as a local "bully", backed by the United States.  Should the United States ever withdraw support for Israel, the results would be unquestionably chaotic, and likely a massacre of the Israeli people.

The sons of Abraham fight on to this day, the Crusades leaving scars that sting even now.

This is a debate far too detailed and nuanced to offer a good answer, but I throw in what I can.

  4. WRONG CATEGORY!

  5. They've been fighting each other since the beginning of time, and it's not realistic to think that anyone can solve the problem. Now that Israel has nukes, it's escalated to a whole new level, and with the USA in their back pocket the issues there will never be solved. Too much money is being made off of the conflict for any kind of solution to be reached.

  6. Problem is, people who aren't interested in politics aren't gonna have an answer. They probably don't pay much attention to current events and don't want to be bothered for their opinions on it.

The key to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict is keeping treaties. Problem is, both sides violate them. And every time one side violates their treaty, the other side uses it as justification to commit further violations themselves. It's a vicious cycle. The only way to achieve peace between the two is to get one of the two sides to step forward and stop violating the treaties (Israel building on Palestine's land, Palestinians bombing Israel...). Unfortunately, it's looking like that's not gonna happen any time soon because the two sides just don't trust each other. They assume that if they keep the treaty themselves they will be taken advantage of by the other side.

It's just generally an awful mess. I don't know how to make the people trust each other.
