I am signed up for "computer applications course" for my senior year at high school. What is that class about?

Does anyone know what you do in computer applications class? I am not sure if I should drop it or not.

  1. I don't think you should drop out of it. Many states have it set so that you must have that fraction of a tech. credit to graduate. Anyways, that class is very easy. It teaches keyboard typing techniques, how to use paint, adobe reader, powerpoint... all that good junk. I took it last year, and it's kinda boring, but then again so are Math and English courses, but they're still required... >_<


  2. Absolutely do not drop it. This course is designed to develop computer technology skills. Students will use a variety of computer software and hardware tools and features of an electronic information network. Students will explore the, historical, social and ethical issues of using computer technology. The students will develop skills that will assist them with efficient production; accurate production analysis; management of information and design and presentation of a multimedia project.
