Question:

I am so angry right now. What can I do to distract myself and just pass some time...for the next several days?

I'm pissed at some one in my life....and at this point in time, I cannot talk to this person about my feelings...so please don't recommend that. I simply won't. What I want to do is stay AWAY from this person as much as possible and get through the next few days....right now I'm struggling because my anger is so fresh. What can I do to help relieve some of my stress?? What do you do when you're extremely angry and all you have is time?

  1. forget about them and the problem. Think of something not involved with them at all. For example, keep relaxed and think about happy thoughts


  2. everytime they come into your head, push them out again

  3. At this point you need to find something to help you express yourself or replace your anger.

    Here's some things that I've heard people do or that I've done myself.

    ---Draw/paint what you're feeling.

    ---Write down why you're mad and what you would like to do to resolve your problem.

    ---Take a long shower and make yourself comfortable.

    ---Take a long nap.

    ---Get some exercise.

    ---Read or listen to some music.

    ---Hypnosis.

Go out to a movie, treat yourself to dinner...  Walk to a local park and watch the children play.  They're so cute.  : )  Is there any way you can talk to someone else about your anger to?  Not this person you're angry with, but someone else you can trust enough to keep your secrets.  Writing it down may also help.

  5. All you have to do is calm down by finding something to do. Play some games. Read an interesting long book about ghosts or something so you can get away from being mad. Read the bible it might give you some interesting facts that you may need to stop being so angry.  You shouldn't allow yourself to be this angry anyway that could be dangerous.
