I am so confused, what would you do?

If somebody that gets offended when you talk to her, so you stop talking to her and then she's offended by the 'silent treatment'; what would you do? It's like WTF?

My girl's sister is offended when I talk to her; she says I talk down to her.

Even if all I say is, "Hello."

I'm not hearing it in my voice, so I don't know what to change.

But NOW she's offended because she feels she’s being ignored.

Whatever, I’m going to Chicago.

us women can be very complicated and hard to understand at the best of times!!

Pay her no mind....ignore her. She is the one with the problem....I really don't know the situation..I however defer to no one...Nor do I want anyone to defer to me.

Well don't let it bother you.  Keep saying hello if that is your personality.  She could be mis-reading a nonverbal however if you really want to address the issue ask her to stop you next time that it happens and she feels that you are "talking down to her".  At that time take note to what you are doing and thinking, and have her mimic what you did that offended her AND if possible have her demonstrate a more appropriate behavior.

She's just finding things wrong. You won't be right with her, so just agree to be wrong and ocntinue with the silent treatment. Welcome to Chicago.

She's jealous because you're stealing some of the attention she gets from your girl.  She will just have to get over it, and you shouldn't be bothered by her at all.

This could just be a problem with her sister, you fix the problem, and she continues complaining. Perhaps there are other issues she is upset with (you moving. etc.)?

move to chicago... who needs more grief than is neccesary... without her telling you what it is about how you are saying things... you will never know how to correct the problem... ask her what it is about the tone of your voice that she finds annoying... is she can't say why she's just a freak...
