I'm not being a moody teenager. I am 16 and my mother is just so mean. Today we went into a shop to get me a school skirt and she started shouting at me and calling me a stupid cow because i had bought one too small the other day. She completely embarrasses me in public by shouting at me. Even yesterday, she whacked me across the head. Shes always calling me names and saying that its a pity I'm not choking on my food. She has also ''grounded'' me for 2 weeks, meaning that i am not going to see my boyfriend for two weeks and we live an hour away from each other so we find it difficult having time to meat up. I'm gonna end up leaving my house and renting a flat or something because of her. She also makes comments about my weight as i put on 12lbs over summer, making me around 145lbs. What can i do? :(

  1. wait a while quite soon you'll have to leave home for college or get work far away from home so you'll have to leave home

  2. i can relate to u 'coz even my mum is getting on my nerves. tell u what, dont take her to public places with you and if you hve to then ignore her & pretend u dont kno her. if she starts screaming then either yell back or leave the store, go back home & yell at her as much as u want to.

and u start looking for a job, not to get away just stay away frm her and her home as much as possible. dont leave the house just yet, wait 2 more years for clg & then anyways u'll get away. ALL THE BEST

  3. aww you poor thing i feel so bad. the next time she shouts at you in public say something loud like well at least (something she doesnt know you about her)

  4. tell the people in your family, perhaps an aunt? Or your father or someone else who could help.

  5. If you think you are financially independent then go ahead and leave your house. About weight you are the one do decide and lose if required.
