ok so last thursday i got my courses for next year(and right now im in advanced orchestra) and i see it says intermediate orchestra so im thinking well maybe its a mistake. so friday i go to the councilors office and she tells me she only followed the directions my orchestra teacher told her. so later on when im in his class he pulls me into his office when class is about to end. he closes the door and tells me to have a seat. he tells me i already know what its about and i nod. then he tells me hes not impressed with my playing level and my practice time at home and that ive been faking. which i havent! ive been told it doesnt even look like im playing but i am, honestly. then he says i cant play the music we played this year at all which i can, but it takes a few days when we first get it. im not the best sight reader but thats why i practice. then he asks me how many times ive practiced through out the year and i tell him idk because i dont keep count. And a few weeks b4 I couldn’t practice at all bcuz someone stole my music binder, I told him immediately after I found out and he said he couldn’t do anything about it (a load of c**p)…SO he wants ME to re-audition when there are other people who fake all the time and some even have to fill in the notes. I am way better than them too…so

What should I do? advice plz!!

And if I still am in intermediate I might just tell him I am quitting bcuz I didn’t start playing the violin since 5th grade just to end up in intermediate in 8th grade. And I will tell my mom I just have to figure out a way to tell her without crying bcuz of my anger.

Still…advice plz!!! What should I do?!

  1. Tell your mom but see if she can go to the principal and talk about the circumstances about the teacher. Also maybe, ask to perhaps show the teacher you can do the required playing in front of him away from the other students. But I've found that parents calling the school have always looked best. Perhaps ask your mom to talk to the teacher first and if that doesn't seem to be working talk to the principal. Don't worry it'll be fine and don't quit! If you love playing the violen you shouldn't give it up. : )

  2. chill out stop wining and deal with it
