I am so nervous for my ODP soccer tryouts, how can i ease my nerves?

i really need to get more confidence and become relaxed about these tryouts. i have a passion for soccer and these tryouts mean the world to me. PLEASE HELPPP!!!!!

  1. haha, same. I did ODP last year and it's totally fun. Lemme give you some tips that really helped me make districts last year:

    -carry your own equipment once you get out of the car, if you parents do it then they think you can't depend on yourself

    -always talk on the field act like your boss it can help others and make you look good

    -constantly make runs while your playing small sided games

    -stretch in advance you'll be looser and look better

    -fake confidence, you may see other girls and be like man their good! but just think to yourself your better.

    -if you have other friends trying out don't get carried away and talk to them.

    -if they give you advice listen the first time

    -don't get intimidated, your just as good as all the other girls.


  2. Okay ! One take a deep breath and breathe. You are

    getting a tryout with the cream of the crop KIDS your

    age.They are good but  Running and Endurance are A-# 1.

    Next most important technical skill is dribbling your ball.

    Learn to dribble and not look at your feet. Get the touch,

    feel the ball, make dribbling like walking, second nature.

    Passing, kicking, heading skills are important. Leave

    Drills to the coach.

       Day of the Tryout; Eat a hardy breakfast, Run about a

    Mile, run walk to cool down. Eat a light, but Carbo laden

    Lunch. Rest. Get your head into a positive frame of mind.

    Leave for the tryout, get there with enough time to warm-up.

    Stretch your entire body, with emphasis on the insides

    of your thighs and legs. Do a few sprints and jog crossovers.

    And most of all RELAX and be yourself!!! Don't pretend you

    are something you are not.        Have Fun!!!!
