Question:

I am so sore from playing tennis that I can barley walk straight. What can I do?

I have already taken a hot bath and it made me feel better for about 10 minutes. Now the soreness is back and it hasn't gotten any better all day. I have to play tennis tomorrow, no excuses. Name everything you can that will make me less sore. I don't want to take any pain medications. Thanks :)

  3. First off, get plenty of sleep.  Tomorrow before playing, jog for 5-10 minutes to get your muscles warm.  After jogging, stretch slowly and thoroughly.  This should help.

    I know you said you don't want to take any pain medications, but they really go a long way towards reducing stiffness.

  4. Motrin is the best thing for you--take it on a regular basis for a few days. Make sure that you stretch out well before you play again.
