So, I have a little bit of debt. But, here is the deal...I have four credit cards.

Here are the amounts--one is 750.00

2-500.00

3-400.00

4-300.00

Anyway, my husband and I hit a few bumps in the road and he is leaving for a deployment. Well, Im also going back to stay with my parents so I dont have to be alone and so we can save up more money. We will be able to pay off all these debts while he is gone. I should have them paid by December. But, they call my house 30 times a day, and wont work out any payment arrangements. I cant afford to pay the minimum payments because they are way too high.

What can I do?

  1. try calling 1-800-guard-10. they are located in boca raton , florida. i got myself in debt years ago, i had 22 credit cards, maxed out and credit guard got my interrest rates reduced or eliminated and worked out an amount that i could afford to have drafted from the bank once a month to be distributed over all cards, as each card was paid off, then money then went to another cards and then that amount went to another card, i was out of debt in 2 years,

they charged me no fees either.

  2. Due to the fact that your husband is currently active duty, you qualify for certain programs under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA)

    Example:

6% Interest Rate. If a service member’s military obligation has affected his/her ability to pay on financial obligations such as credit cards, loans, mortgages, etc., the service member can have his/her interest rate capped at 6% for the duration of the service member’s military obligation. However, this ONLY covers debts incurred BEFORE entering the military (this would be your joint accounts or his accounts).

Other areas that are covered include, rent, installment contracts, mortgages,  liens, assignment, leases.

  3. When you go back to your parents, don't leave a forwarding number.  The calls will stop.

  4. I've done this in the past:

1)Ask the creditors if he/she is saved and accepts Christ as savior.

    2) Ask if they would like to take part in making money with Amway.

It helped me rest easier because they simply hang up (be careful how you ask them).  Here's an opportunity to use what you have to buy simple groceries to making extra money:
