The salesman,Martin was quite short and rude because I didnt want to tale the extended warranty. When I came out of the store holding the box,one of their salesmen was hovering behind me.As I went through the door it bleeped. This man pounced on me and asked if I had the receipt, which I had.He muttered "funny" I wonder if this is their way of getting back at folk who wont take the extended warranty? I got back in my car still in a fury, and missed my normal turn.I had to go up a dual carriage way I had hardly ever used before.I tried to turn right, while I was waiting for the onward traffic to clear,a mass of car horns began.I realised in horror it was a "no right turn road" I turned as soon as I could, and there was no problems, but for a guy of 60,who has had a 35 year clean driving record it is a great shock.I dont know what to do.There didnt seem to be much of a sign to say no right turn.Npw my worry is has someone taken my number?will the police come? I am pleased to share this with yo

  1. have a nice cup of tea and complain to currys tommorrow but i dont think anyone would of taken your no and the police wont call round

  2. I have had no good experiences with Currys and i would not recommend them - terrible customer service.

no wonder you had a bad day after shopping there.

wouldnt worry about the no right turn. doubt if anyone took the time to get your number. if the police cant turn up when you call them, they're not going to go looking for you for such a minor mistake

I wrote a letter of complaint to Currys and didnt even get an acknowledgement - dont waste your time or money there!!

  3. Proof that the elderly shouldn't be allowed to drive or use computers, good work.

  4. I doubt any one would take your number plate down unless you caused some damage or hurt anyone.

I would complain to Curry's if staff have attitude like that.

Hope you have a calm rest of the day.

  5. Poor you - what a day!  Firstly, write a letter to Currys HQ.  IT will make you feel better once you've vented.

Secondly, have a cup of tea  -always works a treat for me.  I wouldnt worry about the wrong turn - no harm done.

  6. No the police wont come but you will burn in h**l for eternity

  7. The first thing I would do is return the vacuum. No way would I patronize a business that treated me like that. My wife and I just bought an Oreck brand vacuum. The people are very nice and they already have a great warranty so there is no need for pushy sales people. As for your driving, I seriously doubt anyone took the time to write down, moreover turn in your license number. In todays society most people just honk and shake a fist or just laugh at you. None of which hurt physically but can take a toll on ones self esteem. Even if someone did turn you in. The police won't start a man hunt of such a minor mistake. Have a good day!!

  8. you dont need to worry nothing will happen !!

it was on honest mistake they wont ban you and you wont receive points if anyone was sad enough to have taken your number plate then all you will get is a slap on the wrist !!

    stop panicking !!!

  9. Ok---lets look at the big picture.

you have been subjected to some degree of frustration, and humiliation, that put you in a frame of mind that you were distracted in your roadmanship.

You have NOT been "observed" in your traffic offence, rest assured.

Any complaint you make to the store, will be glossed over by the "Old mates" Syndrome.

Send a well worded E-Mail, for starters. Brief, to the point, and thought out

Alternatively---take it back as "not suitable for purpose". No discussion, just a straight refund.

    Good luck

You can try---but I doubt you will get any re-compense for your feelings

On the question of extended warranty----say yes if their is a discount on the purchase price. Take it, then cancell the warranty the next day. Simple, eh?

  10. So you are the ignorant Bloke that made me late this morning on me way to work.  Got news for you sunshine! I got your plate number and will be reporting you to the Bobbie's. I followed you a ways and saw you make an illegal turn also.  The Street Cams will have you plates also, so be ready for a citation and fine!

  11. ya b ok.i would write to currys they mainly employ chavs so bear that in mind.i had rudeness myself from very same place for very same thing so commission is i would think sumit to do with it.calm down have a cup of tea.good luck

  12. You will be fine and just deny everything and plead the fifth.

  13. You were right not to but extended warranty from the store, it's basically useless, and infact some home insurance policies give you cover on those sorts of goods anyway, if not you can always get cheaper quotes from specialist companies.

As for your turn, don't worry about it, drive in London most days and you will see so much going on like jumping red lights, waiting in yellow boxes etc you somehow get used to it, the police won't be coming after you, I think you made an honest mistake and everyone does.

Don't worry, make a cup of tea sit down and just have a break, relax and forget the morning you have had, and hopefully you have the sun shining where you are so you can enjoy the rest of the day, all the best!
