  1. Congrats on going vegan!

If you went vegan overnight, your body might be adjusting to the sudden change.

To have a healthy diet you should eat a variety of fruits, vegetables, beans, nuts, and grains. Make sure you're consuming enough calories for your body weight; don't just eat low-calorie foods like salads. Check out http://www.tryveg.com for lots of food ideas and tips.

Oh, and you won't gain weight by removing dairy from your diet. Milk is designed to fatten up calves, after all. Good luck!

  2. wow this is my 3rd day too... very strange!

well today around lunch my stonach felt strange. i bet it isn't any big deal, but if it gets worse, you might be malnurished!

  3. Wow...Some of these answers are really intelligent.  Being a vegan doesn't cause anyone to be anorexic.  I actually maintain my pre-vegan weight, which is actually more than my BMI says it should be.

Don't listen to them.  I had stomach ache quite a few times when I first became a vegetarian.  My body wasn't used to processing food so quickly and efficiently.  I had bad gas, stomach pain, more bowel movements, and I also felt like I wasn't bloated.

Meat takes a long time to digest.  Plant material digests way more quickly...

I felt better after a few weeks as a vegan.  If you like, you can add ginger into your diet...That can help with the pain.

    You should feel better soon.

  4. I wouldn't worry about it.  It probably is just your body reacting to the lack of dairy.

  5. dont do it your body needs nourishment duh. you think you feel sick for no reason. stop that nonsense and eat a burger with a nice glass of milk. or dont and be like every other anorexic vegan know it all, the choice is yours lol

  6. I'm guessing that since you're going vegan, you're eating a lot more fresh fruits and veggies, thereby increasing your fibre uptake. And that gives you gas and may cause mild discomfort until your body gets used to it.

You should be fine in a couple of days.

    :D
