I am starting a small cleaning business in my neighborhood with me and my friend do i need a business license?

  2. Poster kemperk is absolutely correct; the only thing I might add is the license gives you somewhat of a credibility edge; people may want to see if you're legit before they trust you in their homes, but I agree, wait 'til your making good $$$$. BTW in our town the fee is only $25.

  4. my suggestion is to "temporarily" not bother.  Wait till you are earning

    $1,000 a mo and then, get a license.

    I used to give opposite suggestions ages ago.  Cities want their

    license fees to pay for other things and there is no reason for you

    to contribute to that NOW.
