I was wondering if anyone knew the manditory equipment I would have to buy? Also, I wanted to do commercial cleaning as well. Do I need a thousand dollar vacume or will those commerical cheap ones work? Thanks

  1. You won't need much more than what has already been mentioned for your window cleaning business, though I would suggest you also get a good contract for clients to sign so you have some stability and guaranty as to your workload.

    No, you do not need a fancy, expensive vacuum to start with, nor expensive anything.  That's the beauty of a cleaning business.  Low start up, fast income.  As you gain more clients and earnings, you can invest in better equipment.  It's all tax deductible!!

  2. Ladders, a bucket, towels and squeegees will do the trick. I am a window cleaner mostly for residential homes. Big bucks if you are good. Also set up a sign to let other people passing by, know who you are. Ettorre squeegees and dawn dishwashing liquid are what I use.
