  1. You won't learn to do front flips and back flips. That's just useless flash and waisted energy. You will learn to roll and do break-falls. Just listen to your sensei and you'll be throwing people across the room in no time.

  2. You'll learn what you need to know from your instructor when you start the class. You can't be taught moves by people describing them to you on Y!A - you are 99.9% likely to be doing them wrong without an instructor to show you what to do and correct your mistakes. You could end up injuring yourself and the people you practice with in class. Going to class, listening to your instructor, and practicing what you learned from him/her over and over again at home afterwards will benefit you much more than anything anyone on here can teach you.

    Good luck =)

P.S. I don't think you learn front flips and back flips in judo >_> Try a gymnastics class.

  3. no back flips in Judo, the only thing you have to do is to make a conscious effort of doing the ukemi properly-bad technique can easily lead to injury...make sure you practice falling the proper way and you should be good to go.  Good luck and welcome to the wonderful world of Judo
