I am starting to be depressed ?

I have just graduated high school and moved away to go live with my soon to be husband, I lived in upstate NY and now I live is St. Louis MO, My guys family is down here and this is where he has lived his whole life so I decided to move for him, I left alot in NY, I left my family my Friends my church and my chorse, and I miss is sooo much, I am going to start college soon and I am working at wal-mart, I have made friends but for some reason I have this empty hole in me that isn't going away, and I am not that kind of person to be depressed, I love life alot, I just dont know what to do, can you help? All so, one more thing, My boyfriend also works at wal-mart but he works overnight and sleeps all day, so I never really get to see him or do anything with him, I dont know where anything really is so I sit at home all day, and that is something t ome to, can you help me please?

  1. I think that you have undergone so many radical changes in your recent life that now you are struggling to cope with them all at once.

    You are obviously homesick and in addition to that you are deprived of the support of your fiance because of the different hours you both work.

    Add to this  your imminent new start in college & hey presto! more than you can cope with all at the same time and no wonder.

    If you feel that the problem is a short term one until you can get to college then you could look for a local group & offer some voluntary work/assistance. This would occupy you more, give you a sense of fulfillment and help you to get to know local people/events.

    College will bring you lots more contacts too.

  3. I'm sure that your husband to be doesn't want you to be depressed

    because you moved from everyone you loved to live with him.  Also

    you need to talk him about possibly taking to trip to NY and spending

    some time with your family.  Why don't you try to take that trip some

    time around Thanksgiving or Christmas?
