I am starting to collect dolls, and advice please? ?

Right now I am getting dolls in random for what I like about them, but I know it can go MAD collecting dolls. Like on eBay, there are TONS every week. Not really sure which are THE ultimate dolls to get. now, I am interested in Spiritual dolls, Haunted dolls, I think antique or old kind, smaller in size so it wont take up much space. Anyway, ANY advice on how to collect them, display or put them, etc? Thank you.

I would collect pullip, or dal

You should collect American girl dolls cause they can be very rare and when you get older and need money they can get sold for a lot of money!  $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ You can also get the mini ones so they don't take up much room

Older Barbies. Especially the limited editions. American Girls dolls, the neater it is the more expensive it will be in the next few years. Consult a book or two from your local library so you'e get the idea. Goodluck and have fun!

Collect Bratz are really great, cuz they aren't a bad influence like some ppl said, and Is great to have them as a collection, I collect them, I have 87. And is easy cuz there are a lot and you can find cheaper of $4.99 and the expenive $35.99 so they are really awesome.

And the new fall collection is great!

Anyway that is my opinmion!

The ULTIMATE doll as you said- that's any doll you really like not just the ones that will rise in value.  My advice to you- you should never buy a doll just based on the possibility of the value rising- never invest in a doll unless she/he appeals to you.  I have lots of dolls that will probably never go up in value but they have value to me because they remind me of people I love or just because they are beautiful.  I used to collect Barbie.  Now my taste is more along the lines of Tyler Wentworth and Marley Wentworth- and the Kish kids of course but those are a little costly.  But I the Kish kids are well worth it because they're just so darn cute!

My Barbies are displayed in original boxes- or at least most of them are- the ones I started collecting later on.  The Wentworth and Kish dolls aren't really displayed- I use them for modeling outfits I've made and gotten in swaps so they get stored in big plastic tubs and taken out to be redressed or have their pix taken.
