I am starting to ride endurance an my saddle slips back when i go uphill how do i solve this?

  1. Breast collar is what they're called here.  You can go with nylon(those are pretty thin) or leather(I prefer those). For endurance I would suggest the wider collar with perhaps the fleece liner on the horse side.   I use a medium width, not a wide roping collar nor one of those thin just for show collars.  The proper fit would be slightly snug, not tight, about the shoulder to reduce rub.  Attach thru your girth ring and the ring on your saddle in front.  That gives the collar an even pull.


  2. Use a breastplate or collar and tighten your girth as much as you can. That should stop this from happening.

  3. Use a breast plate. it goes round the front

  4. A breat plate is guranteed to stop this!

    Not very expensive either and they look nice =]

  5. A breast plate always works for me! it is attached to the rings on your saddle to prevent it form slipping back.
