I am staying in a holiday park called hendra. I am wondering what there is to actually do apart from what everyone else says e.g Zoo, beach and dairy land :). Also what is there i can do in the rain as it is due to be raining. I am not bringing the car but there apparently is good bus travel?

Thanks very much please please help me

  1. Have a look at Hendra's own site, to start with...

When wet and windy, go surfing?

(if that's your thing., of course.)

There are a range of adventure parks and similar sites.

but I'm not sure which are accessible by bus: you'd have to check their websites (also to find if they do anything that will amuse you sufficiently, while they gently extract your money)

Hendra Park is about (just over?) two miles from the railway station, Fistral beach, and the other bus services.

The park site doesn't mention a shuttle service, but there is an hourly bus service, No. 558. The URL lists other Newquay routes, including to Padstow and The Eden Project.

  2. i live in newquay and if it is raining i'm afraid there is not much to do at all...newquay is going through a regeneration at the moment so there is a lot of building work going on including a new cinema & bowling complexes.

What to do if it's raining.....go surfing....visit the blue reef aquarium on towan beach.....glow-in-the-dark-ten pin bowling at the hotel california on penmere drive near where i am...if you want to go to the cinema at the moment you have to go into truro.

catch a number 89 or 90 bus from newquay bus station...all buses are run hourly and both these buses go past hendra which is a couple of miles outside the town centre.
