They are both priced the same, $6995.00. I like them both very well. Minor scratches on the bug and barely any on the Cavalier. They are both 5 speeds and honestly not the slightest on what to do...

  1. You twist my arm and make me choose one of thoes cars and I would  pick the Cavalier they have a longer life... VW's are a short lived throwaway car.. Vw's start out great but they get 100K or so on them and they just fall apart..

  2. buy the vw they've come along way cavalier are junk I'm sorry to say head gaskets go often

  3. The cavalier is a bit  pricey. However they are american cars so parts and labor will be alto cheaper not to mention quicker to repair. Not only that it has ALOT less wear and tear on it! 128,000 and for almost 7,000 no way! Even the cavalier has alot of miles for that price. I just got a 2002 cavalier with only 40,000 miles, 1 owner and for only 3,000 dollars

  4. if i had to choice id pick something else all together but if it has to be one of thses go with the chevy.... for one reason only parts cost less and you can get them most any where and any time but for a vw parts are harder to come by plus many time you have to order from dealer and they come from oversea's many times taking a long time to get

  5. Cavaliers are trashy. Yup, I said it.

  6. neither keep looking. Just a quick look at kelly blue book. I only picked a car 2004 with 50000 miles should be able to buy for 7500. KBB is high i always try to buy at private party price at a dealership. then i feel i got a fair deal. Bottom line you can do better
