I am studying diploma course in Melbourne and my visa sub class is 573 which leads to a degree?

I am studying diploma course in Melbourne and my visa sub class is 573 which leads to a degree course after finishing diploma. I don't want to do degree after finishing my diploma and want to apply for PR/TR after that. My current diploma course will finish in December 2008. Can I still get my visa class changed from 573 to 572?

Try ur luck at the immigration dept. I think they will change it if u can show ur own funds.
