I am suffering from planter fascitiis.I used to do cardio-treadmill daily. now I m swithing to cycling.?

  1. Sorry to hear about your bought with PF. Been there; no fun!

    Cycling can actually provide more cardio benefit - as with anything - it depends on effort. Go out and cycle up a 7 mile hill at 7% grade and you'll see what I mean. That'd be about the same as racing a 10k (for me).

    The nice part about cycling, IF you have cycling shoes, is that the fascia cannot be stretched because the shoes won't allow the sole to flex. This actually helps the injury heal (pun intended) while you exercise!

    Ice it at night and take it easy getting going in the a.m. as this is when it can be re-injured the easiest.
