  1. Great!! You have completed the first step - you know you have a problem.

Write all the syptoms down on a piece of paper this will help with telling your dr.

Next you start with a family dr

either show the dr the paper or just have it handy so you want forget anything.

Go to the dr now don't wait this is the best decision you will ever make

if you can't talk to anyone you may have anixety too.

You will feel more relaxed, calm and you will be happier.

  2. Go to your physician or call your physician and ask for a recommended list of psychiatrists from your doctor. You need to find a professional to help diagnosis your depression; you could be suffering from a number of mental disorders. Mental disorders are caused by an inbalance in your brain and with the right medication prescribed by the right professional, the inbalance could be leveled and put you back on a mutual level.

  3. Start seeking for some help !  See a medical doctor, get references, ask for help.  Help is out there so go get it. You can't get better until you ask and seek for help.  You are not the only one who suffers with this situation. Do what everyone else does and ask for help !

Don't put it off !  YOU can do something to help yourself by just calling a doctor's office.  That's what they do and that's what are for !  They have training in this area.

Search and read any uplifting words you can get. Feed yourself helpful

words, stories, whatever. Get yourself this personalized book , I found, and it will encourage you to change  and inspire you to ask and seek help.  You deserve help !  This book is all about YOU with your name throughout the book..Very powerful. This is something you can do for yourself now. Very little investment and great words of encouragement totally about who YOU are !

Get it online at the site in the source line below. You will be glad you did. It is fairly new but many people you would know have gotten one for themselves.  You get one too.  It will change your life forever ! It is endorsed by people from the chicken soup series and they have theirs. Oprah has hers !!!

Great tool for feeding yourself positive words and hope. Everyone needs one.  I love mine !

  4. You really should go find a mental health professional in your area. Talking with someone is the best way to get yourself turned around. If you're sick, then you go to your medical doctor, right? Well, counselors and psychiatrists are doctors! There is no shame in getting help when you need it!

If you have health insurance, they could be covered. If you don't, with a little persistence you can find cheap/free help (especially if you're in school). You don't have to get on medications if you don't want to either. You're in control of your own health, mind and body.

  5. get meds. and think positive, turn every bad situation to a good one, and things will get better

  6. Some people find that rigorous exercise does wonders for getting them out of depression.

  7. Hi,

The problem with prescribed or over the counter medicines is not only their lack of effectiveness, but also the detrimental side effects. The combination of Frankincense, Lavender, and Lemon Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils, taken internally, is an effective natural solution to anxiety, depression and other symptons. Applying Lavender to the bottoms of your feet before going to bed can ensure a better nights sleep.

We have seen amazing results from using essential oils. To learn more go to www.mydoterra.com/doterraoils

    Good Luck,

CAUTION!!! Even though there are hundreds of essential oils available, even at the health food store, they are not all of the same standard in purity and potency.

  8. Vacation. I had alot of losses in my life(my mom and my room mate both died) in one month and I was thinking about suicide. It was really bad and I had no friends or anything at the time to talk to. I saw this movie "The Beach" with leonardo dicaprio. It was about an island in Thailand, so I ended up saving money up and going out there for a month. Everybody out there was friendly. Everywhere I go people come up to me and smile and want to be friends. They are just naturally friendly. Its called Land of Smiles for a reason. Sure, theres a few bad people, not everybody is perfect. But majority of people there are great. You need to find your own place if Thailand isnt for you. But that definately helped me. Now I am not as depressed because I look forward to moving out there soon. Its very cheap so saving up for 1 year could last 10 years over there if you have no income coming in. I think you need a vacation to somewhere. Get out, have an adventure and meet some new people. You need a goal, maybe its not vacation, but you need something to look forward to and live for.

Everybody says go see a doctor, but in my experience with that, they are useless. Meds make you a zombie in my opinion. They put me on zoloft and I felt like I had no emotions anymore. I like having emotions, and Id rather take my chances with depression than be a robot. Plus, psychologists are people just like anybody else trying to make a living. They didnt go to medical school to make peanuts, so they will do everything they can to get rich off you. Sure, some of them really care, but most do not in my experience. They dont want you to get better because when you do, you will stop visiting them, and they will stop making money off you. They are psychologists, they know how to work your mind. So they make you believe that they are helping, but the whole time, they are just trying to keep you coming back. They use the meds as a way to do that sometimes too. Because even if you have nothing to talk to them about anymore, and you feel they helped you, they get you on the meds and prescribe you like 2 or 3 months worth, that way you have to always come back to see them just to get the prescription refilled. They call this "check up". They act as if they are doing it just to see how you are doing on the meds, but the real purpose is to just get you to pay for the office visit.

  9. Depression is an evil b*****d. The solution to depression is happiness. It sounds stupid, and possibly impossible, but it's the only cure. Force yourself to do the things you like. Well, probably USED to like. I was on various medications (antidepressants, sedatives, antipsychotics), and I had no luck with any of them. It wasn't until I started living my life again that I made any progress. Just do the things you used to love doing. Go out to movies, clubs, the park, or where ever you spent your time prior to being depressed. Maybe find someone to spend some time  with. If you aren't socially adept, meet someone online. Spending all your time in one place (home, for example) is the worst thing you can do. Live your life. Don't waste it being depressed. Do that, and your depression goes away.
