I am super stressed!?

Question

well at my school 7th grade is my first year of Jr high(yea i know its weird) but this year we have new lockers w/ locks built in

and i cant get those combination locks to work for me

i have tried literally about 20 times and i just cant get them

i have practiced and practiced u turn left right left and i know how to do it but i for some reason cant it is making me late to class and if i am late to class i get a detention so please help if u r good at those kind of lock

You might have alot on your mind with starting in a new school.  Just make sure you spin the dial around (I do it several times to make sure it's clear) then slowly enter your number, making sure your not passing it slightly.  If the lockers are new...then the locks are new, meaning they are super sensitive to their set code.

Always spin in fully one time before you enter in your code. Ask the office if you still can't get it. They could get you a new locker, but that would mean having to learn a new code. Good luck!

The first thing you need to do is to relax. This is not an unsurmountable task. You can do it, because you obviously have had some success with it. As Orlandol said, go to the office for help. When you are at your locker, stop all talk with friends, and any other distraction that you can control. Spin that k**b two or three times in one direction. This sets all of the tumblers in it to a neutral position. Carefully follow the directions given for your code. Note, those locks are not precision locks, the "right" number might be a small mark before or after the number given in the directions. You have to "feel" what the lock mechanism is doing. If you turn the k**b carefully, you'll feel resistance to movement when you reach a number in your code. When you feel that resistance to movement, change direction to the next number. A little practice, and you'll be amazed that you ever had trouble with it to begin with.

After school your teacher or a teacher near your locker that is willing to help you.

Or get a friend to help you.

Eventually, you'll get used to it and it will become really easy.  The only problem I have is remembering my combination :)
